City of Toledo Sues Drug Manufacturers And Distributors

TOLEDO, Ohio - The City of Toledo is suing several drug manufacturers and distributors.

Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson announced the lawsuit Monday against 24 drug manufacturers and distributors on their role in the opioid epidemic.

“We have had enough of our community members suffering or dying of overdoses from the unfair distribution and marketing practices of these addictive drugs. The time is now to hold drug manufacturers and distributors accountable for their actions,” says Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson.

Toledo joins Dayton, Lorain and the state of Ohio in filing suit against pharmaceutical companies, accusing them of being responsible for the opioid crisis in Ohio.
