Fiat Chrysler To Shutter Toledo Terminal

(Toledo, OH) Nearly 100 Fiat Chrysler workers in Toledo will get laid-off early next year.

The automaker announced plans Thursday to shut down the Toledo Terminal on Hagman Road, where workers transport parts and components between auto plants.

Fiat Chrysler will let go 92 employees in four waves until the transportation facility closes for good at the end of February.  Company officials say jobs at the Jeep plant won't be affected.

Many of the terminal employees are UAW workers and may have bumping rights, either at the Toledo Jeep assembly complex or elsewhere. Others may retire or be offered an early retirement package.
