(Toledo, OH) The commute into downtown Toledo could get a bit ugly the next few days.
25,000 cars each day pour into downtown from the Anthony Wayne Trail and I-75-- but that comes to a halt at 6 a.m. Friday. The main gateway into downtown Toledo will be shut down for four days, including Friday and Monday's work commutes. The northbound I-75 exit also will be closed.
That could affect weekend events, such as the Toledo Walleye hockey home opener Saturday and the annual Adams Street Zombie Bar Crawl. Road construction crews have some added work to do to built a new entrance into downtown, because of soil problems and will be working overtime to stay on schedule.
The Anthony Wayne Trail will reopen at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
