(Columbus, OH) Debate is officially underway on a bill named for a murdered former Anthony Wayne high school student-athlete.
The state lawmakers behind the Reagan Tokes Act introduced the measure Tuesday to the House Criminal Justice Committee. The bill would add prison time for offenders who break rules in prison, track parolees' GPS coordinates, help violent felons re-enter society and reduce parole officers' caseloads.
Brian Golsby is awaiting trial for killing the Ohio State University student this year despite wearing an ankle monitor after his release from prison.
