Ohio Senator Cliff Hite Resigns

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio state senator Cliff Hite announced his abrupt resignation from the Statehouse Tuesday.

WTOL 11 reports Hite, who represented District 1 out of Findlay, delivered his resignation to Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof Monday night. 

Hite was first elected to the Ohio Senate in 2011 and served as the chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee. Obhof says he will announce an application process to select Hite's replacement later this week.
