(Maumee, OH) Maumee city officials are making a bold push to lure Amazon HQ2.
Maumee city and business leaders unveiled their pitch for the online retailer's second headquarters Tuesday, claiming they meet the requirements for the massive job-creating project.
The proposed site is 500 acres of land near the Fallen Timbers Mall, providing places for employees to shop, eat and play. Supporters of Maumee's bid also cite nearby highways, shovel-ready infrastructure, several major colleges and millions of people between Toledo and Detroit.
Toledo has not submitted a bid for the project, but plans to partner with Detroit and Ontario.
