TOLEDO, Ohio - More than 3,000 warrants were withdrawn during Toledo Municipal Court's recent Amnesty Week.
The Court offered the amnesty for people with non-violent bench warrants as part of the Court's 100th anniversary.
"Amnesty Week was a tremendous success," says Presiding Judge Joshua Lanzinger. "With the hard work of our court staff, we were able to withdraw warrants on 3,294 cases. The vast majority of those cases were resolved the same day. Even though Amnesty Week is over, this court remains dedicated to community outreach and ensuring access to the community."
The Court typically withdraws warrants on about 673 cases.
