(Fremont, OH) A Northwest Ohio school is offering free tuition for its top ten manufacturing majors.
Terra State Community College has announced the class of 2018 has a chance to get an associate's degree at no cost. But there's a catch-- those high school graduates have to major in one of ten choices-- including computer systems, digital media, manufacturing engineering, robotics integrated manufacturing technology, agribusiness, welding, and health information technology, among others.
The so-called Workforce Demand scholarship is worth just under $5,000 per year.
Terra hopes to attract 150 students who normally wouldn't attend college right away-- because two thirds of Ohio's jobs by 2020 will require a post-secondary degree.
