Ohio Schools Receive Federal Literacy Grant

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio's schools will be getting a grant to help improve literacy in children. 

The state education department says the lion's share of a $35 million federal grant will help improve reading skills in grades K-12. The state schools superintendent says the federal grant will focus on serving children in poverty, those with disabilities, and English teachers. Schools and early childhood care providers will be eligible to receive the money.
