(Toledo, OH) Toledo Municipal Court is marking a century of service with an amnesty week.
There are thousands of outstanding bench warrants in Toledo Municipal Court for people facing non-violent offenses or failed to appear for a hearing.
Court personnel will work with defendants to clear those warrants without fear of being arrested and taken into custody through Saturday. Judges are seeking same-day resolution of those cases where possible to help clear a backlog of misdemeanors and traffic court cases.
Even bureau of motor vehicles staff will be on hand to help people determine what's needed to resolve driver's license issues. Mental health and substance abuse treatment providers also will have information booths.
