TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo Mud Hens have parted ways with manager Mike Rojas after just one season.
In his one season with the Hens Rojas lead the team to a 70-71 record, finishing 3rd in the IL West and missing the playoffs for the tenth straight season.
In a statement, Detroit Tigers vice president of player development Dave Littlefield said the decision was made as the club decided to go in a different direction.
"As the 2017 minor league season has come to an end and we start to plan for 2018, we have alerted Mike Rojas that he will not be returning as the manager for Triple A Toledo," Littlefield said. "This was a baseball decision and we wanted to go in a different direction. We thank Mike Rojas for his contributions to the organizations and we wish him the best moving forward."
