(Toledo, OH) The Toledo mayoral race is entering the next chapter.
Incumbent Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson and Lucas County Treasurer Wade Kapszukiewicz will face off in November after voters chose them from four candidates in Tuesday's primary election.
Hicks-Hudson has been running on her achievements in the city's top job. Kapszukiewicz is pitching plans to increase the police force, make Toledo more small business-friendly and save taxpayers money.
Incumbent Perrysburg Mayor Michael Olmstead will face long-time city councilman Tom Mackin in the November general election. Those two candidates survived a three-way primary election Tuesday. The Lucas Metro Housing Authority attorney served nearly two decades on Perrysburg city council and got more votes than the incumbent mayor by a wide margin.
