(Toledo, OH) Toledo voters will go to the polls today to whittle down the candidates for mayor.
Incumbent Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson, City Councilman Tom Waniewski, Lucas County Treasurer Wade Kapszukiewicz and community activist Opal Covey are running for two spots in the November election. Toledo City Council races will also be decided today.
Voters in Perrysburg will narrow a three-candidate race for mayor today. Perrysburg's incumbent mayor Michael Olmstead is being challenged by two former city council members in the non-partisan primary-- Tom Mackin and Jonathan Orser. One is a physical therapist, the second an LMHA attorney, and the third a property development professional. The top two vote-getters in each race move on to the November general election.
The polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
