Lucas Co. Courthouse to Lock Down for Training

(Toledo, OH) The Lucas County courthouse will be on lockdown later today.

The courthouse is closing at noon, so everyone and anyone who works there can prepare for the possibility of an aggressive intruder or active shooter. Trainers say the afternoon of ALICE training comes just two weeks after a real-life lockdown at Family Court across the street that turned into a hoax.

Lucas County sheriff's deputies are conducting the training for court workers and office clerks-- the first line of defense other than court security. The training will include an interactive demonstration, which means there will be a mock lockdown and evacuation.
