(Toledo, OH) Toledo police are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting.
A specially-trained team of detectives combed the West Toledo scene following the 8 p.m. shooting Monday night. A police spokesman says the officer was responding to a domestic violence call of a man assaulting a woman in the 1700 block of Berkshire Place.
Neighbors report hearing police ordering someone to get down on the ground before shots were fired. The names of the shooting victim and the officer who fired the fatal shot have not been released.
Police had the area cordoned for much of the night.
