No Decision On Abortion Clinic Protest Rules

(Toledo, OH) There won't be any immediate decisions by Toledo city council on proposed new rules for abortion clinic protesters.

Hundreds of people packed last night's city council hearing to fight plans for a 20-foot buffer zone around the city's lone abortion clinic.  Right to Life's Ed Sitter called the whole meeting unnecessary and the proposed ordinance unconstitutional.

Critics say the measure would violate their right to free speech, but supporters say women have a right to avoid harassment when they see their doctor.  A final decision on the ordinance is expected next month.
