SWANTON, Ohio - Investigators have found a body inside a home that exploded Thursday night.
WTOL 11 reports the victim's hasn't been released. Police were called to the home in Swan Creek Township Thursday evening after a report of a domestic dispute.
First responders first shut down Airport Highway during a domestic dispute-turned-standoff Wednesday evening, then rescued a women and two children from the home.
An unidentified man then barricaded himself in the Swan Creek Township house. A SWAT team tried to enter the home, but backed off when they smelled gasoline. Officers then attempted to negotiate the man's surrender when the house exploded, shaking nearby buildings and rattling the windows of homes. Multiple units responded to the resulting fire.
The cause of the explosion and fire is currently under investigation.
