Lake Islands Prepare for First "Bash on the Bay"

(Port Clinton, OH) The Lake Erie islands are getting ready for the first-ever Bash on the Bay.

Once Alfa-Romeos, Fiats, M-G's, Porsches, Triumphs and other vintage sports cars get done racing around a challenging hay-bale lined airport course later today, the Put-in-Bay airport will go immediately into country concert mode.

There's a pre-concert party starting tonight at T-and-J's Smokehouse. Then Lake Erie ferries and boats will bring a party crowd for Thursday evening's concert featuring local acts and country superstar Toby Keith for the first-ever pre-Labor Day blowout known as Bash on the Bay.

Organizers are expecting a sellout of 12,000 fans for the island concert, which is expected to bring in $3 to $4 million in revenue from the concert, hotel rooms, food, and travel.
