(Swanton, OH) Swanton is celebrating its school renovations today.
An open house starts at 6:30 p.m. at Swanton Middle School, which used to be known as Park Elementary. District officials will show off a $2 millionr renovation to convert the school into grades 5-8.
Swanton’s board of education spent $1.5 million to add six classrooms to its elementary school housing grades K-4. Both schools are now air-conditioned. The high school saw security improvements to its entrance and improvements allowing it to house the preschool program.
The new academic year starts next week.
