Toledo Red Cross, Others Head To Texas

(Toledo, OH) Northwest Ohio is gearing up to help with Hurricane Harvey.

The American Red Cross in Toledo already has sent ten volunteers and three trucks to flood-stricken Texas, but continues to line up more help. The Red Cross is seeking monetary donations and more volunteers to go, because the clean-up and work with victims will continue for weeks and possibly months.

Meantime, Impact With Hope is concentrating its efforts on shipping tarps, nonperishable food, personal hygiene kits, shovels, and other clean-up supplies.

Donations can be made at Tireman locations or the group's distribution center in Waterville. Donations also can be dropped off at the Church on Strayer in Maumee or McCord Road Christian Church in Sylvania.
