(Toledo, OH) A Northwood doctor accused of raping his patients takes a plea deal to avoid prison time.
Dr. Haridas Dasani pleaded guilty to three counts of gross sexual imposition in the case. The 68-year old physician had been charged with 55 counts, accused of prescribing opioid dependence medication to women in exchange for sex. Prosecutors say there were at least three victims-- two patients and an employee.
Dasani agreed to surrender his medical license, stay away from former patients, wear an ankle monitor for six months, perform 2,000 hours of community service, and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
