(Toledo, OH) One of Toledo's favorite sons returns to the Glass City this weekend.
The North Toledo park that bears his name will welcome Jamie Farr to a historic marker dedication in his honor tomorrow at 11 a.m.
The 83-year old actor put Toledo and the Mud Hens on the map with his cross-dressing character Corporal Max Klinger on the long-running hit TV show "MASH."
The Mud Hens will honor Farr for his community contributions during tonight's game at Fifth Third Field, where he'll be inducted into a Celebrity Hall of Fame and the first 2,000 baseball fans will receive a reissue of the Corporal Klinger bobblehead. This weekend marks the 45th anniversary of MASH.
Farr's second homecoming happens in October when he stars at the Stranahan Theater in a traveling stage production of the best-selling book "Tuesdays with Morrie."
