(Oregon, OH) Thousands of people are expected this weekend to invade Oregon for what may be the region’s largest ethnic festival.
The 52nd annual German-American Festival at Oak Shade Grove will feature plenty of authentic Bavarian music and dancing, along with plenty of food and beer.
Activities during the three-day GAF will include an authentic Swiss stone-throwing contest, a Bavarian mug lifting contest, a soccer tournament among Bavarian Sports Club teams, and a Hummel figurine look-a-like contest for kids.
Shuttle buses will run to the GAF grounds from a number of Toledo taverns, but there is a cost. The festival runs through Sunday.
