Police-Community Panel Meets Tonight at UT

(Toledo, OH) A state police-community relations panel will meet in Toledo tonight.

The Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board will hold a community forum of sorts during its quarterly meeting at the University of Toledo. The panel, which includes Oregon police chief Mike Navarre, will update the public on its progress to date, discuss a new public awareness campaign, and give the public an opportunity to offer their thoughts on the state of police- community relations.

More than 500 police agencies and 80 percent of the state's law enforcement officers are now trained on new standards in the use of force.

The forum runs 6 to 8 p.m. at U-T's Heath and Human Services Building.
