COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio's Democrats are announcing their party's first official debate between candidates for governor.
The first debate between the candidates for Governor on the Democratic side is set for September 12th, at Martin's Ferry High School. Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper made the announcement Monday on a media conference call.
"This will be the first in a series of debates, forums and other events that we are hosting and working with partners on to introduce our statewide candidates to Ohio voters," Pepper said during the call.
He says Belmont County was selected because voters there feel like they've been left behind by lawmakers in Columbus.
