Norovirus Outbreak That Sickened At Least 100 Traced To Maumee Restaurant

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department says more than 100 people have been affected by a norovirus outbreak.

According to officials, people reported suffering from a gastrointestinal illness, starting around August 7. After the initial investigation, all individuals who experienced similar symptoms, had eaten doughnuts from Mama C's in Maumee between August 4-7.

The Department says the restaurant has been very cooperative and voluntarily closed August 8 to ensure deep cleaning of the store.
