TOLEDO, Ohio - The state of Ohio will take a look at the City of Toledo's books.
WTOL 11 reports State Auditor Dave Yost has approved Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson's request for the city to be audited.
Responding to the request, Auditor Yost commended the Mayor's request.
"“I applaud you for your transparency in identifying a potential issue and your forthright request for an audit conducted by the Auditor of State,” Yost said in a letter to the Mayor.
Mayor Hicks-Hudson sent the request to the Auditor's office in July.
