(Toledo, OH) Ohio's attorney general is going after a Toledo home-improvement contractor.
Attorney General Mike DeWine is suiing United Roofing and Remodeling, accusing the contractor of taking money for services he never provided to homeowners.
The lawsuit alleges owner Josh Gardner violated Ohio consumer protection laws by offering roof installations and other home improvement services and taking their money, but failed to even begin the work or never complete the job-- or he did a such a shoddy job he did permanent damage to a home where crews worked.
There are half-a-dozen complaints with the AG's office, with consumer losses totaling about $25,000.
