(Lyons, OH) A search is underway for the man who shot a Fulton County sheriff's deputy.
Authorities say 18-year-old Jeshua Gilmore shot the deputy during a chase late last night in Lyons. The sheriff's office reports Gilmore had been driving a car stolen in Toledo at the time.
Several police agencies are searching the countryside on both sides of the border for Gilmore, who is considered armed and dangerous. The deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Gilmore is well-known to police, arrested for a series of car thefts earlier this year across Fulton County. Gilmore attended Evergreen High School where he ran cross country and played junior varsity basketball.
