(Columbus, OH) Most of the Ohio counties left without a federal health care exchange option get a reprieve.
The Ohio Department of Insurance has worked out a deal with five health care insurers to cover 19 counties that lost a health insurance option when two companies announced they would drop out of Obamacare next year. Buckeye Health Plan, CareSource, Medical Mutual of Ohio, Molina Health Care and Paramount Health Care have agreed to fill those gaps.
The only county left without an option is Paulding County in Northwest Ohio, but state insurance officials hope to have something in place next month.
