(Toledo, OH) There's another levy likely headed to the November ballot.
The Toledo-area Metroparks Board is expected to place a renewal levy on the November ballot at its monthly meeting later today.
A 1.4 mill property tax levy renewal would generate an estimated $10 million annually for operations and land purchases over the next decade. Today’s approval would be the final step needed to put the tax issue before Lucas County voters.
According to its latest financial report, the Metroparks already has nearly $8.5 million in carryover from last year's budget.
