Tiny Jellyfish Found In Lake Erie

(Toledo, OH) Jellyfish are finding their way into Lake Erie.

Canadian researchers say the freshwater jellyfish have appeared in the lake after decades in the Great Lakes Basin. The slimy blobs are no bigger than a quarter, with stingers too small to hurt people.

Biologists are debating whether the jellyfish are invasive species that came from China with ornamental plants and fish or if they're a non-native species that isn't impacting the Great Lakes' ecology.
