Toledo Parents Get Probation for Gun Death

(Toledo, OH) Some Toledo parents are sentenced after their two-year-old was killed by a gun in their home.

27-year old Turhan Johnson was charged with endangering children and negligent homicide and 23-year old Kayla Johnson was charged with obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence.

The two will spend two years on probation and do 100 hours of community service.  The Johnsons took a plea deal and hope to promote gun safety among children.

Two-year old Journi Johnson was killed last fall in an accidental shooting also involving the couple's six-year old after her father left an unsecured gun in their home.
