(Sylvania, OH) TARTA will make a more detailed pitch to Sylvania City Council Wednesday night on its proposal to switch its funding from a property tax to a Lucas County-wide sales tax.
Voters would face a half-cent sales tax increase on the November ballot if the transit agency’s member communities approve the plan. TARTA will give a second presentation at a meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Sylvania City Council is expected to vote on the proposal Monday night. Ottawa Hills and Rossford already approved the transit agency’s proposal.
