Lucas County Administrator Suspended

(Toledo, OH) Lucas County's top administrator gets suspended.

Lucas County commissioners issued a 30-day disciplinary suspension to county administrator Laura Lloyd-Jenkins for what was termed --quote-- "failure of good behavior." Ten days of that suspension will be unpaid and she is barred from reporting to One Government Center during that time.

The sanction comes as her husband, a Toledo pastor, faces federal charges of human sex trafficking, including having sex with at least two teenage girls at local hotels.

Lloyd-Jenkins resigned her seat on the county's children services board last week. That made her a mandatory reporter of child abuse under the law. But federal prosecutors say the county administrator learned of the allegations against her husband, but never reported it to authorities.
