TOLEDO, Ohio - The Splash Pad at Savage Park has been closed indefinitely after being vandalized Monday night.
The City announced the closure Tuesday, saying that key features of the outdoor water recreation facility were destroyed. The elephant which sprayed water from his trunk was destroyed as was concrete at its base. Vandals also left track marks throughout the area.
The City does not yet have an estimate on how much repairs to the facility will cost.
