(Toledo, OH) Construction is starting on a new Jewish community center in Sylvania Township.
Officials broke ground Sunday for a new Chabad House and Friendship Center on King Road, replacing a building the group has outgrown. The center will be home to Jewish worship services, camps for kids and programs for children with special needs.
Chabad House leaders say the new building will improve current services for their 2,000 members.
