Refunds Coming For Wrongful Speeding Tickets

(Toledo, OH) Toledo's top cop is ripping up a day's worth of speeding tickets.

Drivers who received a speeding ticket from a handheld speed camera on Glendale Avenue on February 1st are due a refund. Toledo Police Chief George Kral Thursday said anyone who received a speeding ticket issued from the camera near Byrnedale school will get their money back.

The refunds stem from long-time at-large city councilman Rob Ludeman and his wife proving they were outside the school zone when they received a speeding ticket that morning.

Ludeman was able to prove that the officer was shooting speeds for drivers outside the school zone, making all the citations that morning void.
