Elections Board Passes Voter Consolidation Plan

(Toledo, OH) A voting precinct consolidation plan is moving forward in Lucas County.

Members of the county board of elections voted 3-1 this week to approve a plan that will impact about 45,000 voters by cutting 20 precincts, most of which are outside Toledo. The city is losing three spots.

Some of the precincts being cut have only 300 or 400 voters, when state law says a precinct can have as many as 1,400.
