Groups Want City To Reject A.G Crime Partnership

(Toledo, OH) Toledo groups are rallying against Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his announcement of a special criminal justice partnership with the city.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced a deal with twelve cities last week in which the federal government would provide specialized assistance to reduce crime.

Members of the Community Solidarity Response Network and the ACLU of Ohio held a news conference Wednesday in downtown Toledo, expressing concern about new federal policies they said are racially biased and over-punish non-violent drug offenders. They want the city to reject the partnership.
