Miller Ferry Helps Stranded Boaters

(Put-in-Bay, OH) The crew members of the Miller Ferry are being hailed as heroes after helping save stranded boaters in Lake Erie. 

Coast Guard officials say the ferry was heading to Put-in-Bay this past weekend when the captain heard a distress call from a boat taking on water. The ferry went off course to the nearby distress call and delivered coordinates to the Coast Guard while staying with the seven passengers of the sinking vessel. 

A video of the rescue went viral on Facebook with more than 500,000 views.
