(Grand Rapids, OH) Construction is scheduled to begin this week on a major artery between Lucas and Wood counties.
ODOT officials say the State Route 295 bridge in Grand Rapids will close today. The span across the Maumee River will be shut down for 50 days so crews can lay new pavement. Crews started prep work last week on the span.
State Route 65 and U.S. Route 24 are the detours.
