Metroparks to Hear Public Input on Marina District

(Toledo, OH) You have a chance to weigh in tonight on what a Marina District Metropark should look like.

Metroparks officials are inviting the public to help create a master plan for the yet-to-be-named Metropark on the east bank of the Maumee River in east Toledo.

The Metroparks plans to spend three million dollars for 55 acres from ProMedica, with an option to purchase 18 more acres from the city. The same firm that designed the Middlegrounds Metropark will draw up the plans for the Marina District site.  A bike path is already planned to link to International Park.

The first of three public input sessions is scheduled tonight in the Waite High School cafeteria from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
