(Toledo, OH) Local officials are moving forward with Toledo's lead safe law now that state lawmakers appear to be out of the picture.
The Toledo-Lucas County health department will host the first in a series of public meetings to better educate landlords and tenants on the city’s new lead safe ordinance. The first such meetings are being held today at noon and 5 p.m. at the Birmingham branch library in East Toledo.
Other public education efforts include online videos and printed inserts in water and sewer bill mailings. Toledo city council will receive an update later this week at a public hearing regarding how the law's implementation is going.
