(Toledo, OH) A South Toledo babysitter could spend life in prison without parole after pleading guilty in the death of a four-year old child in her care.
The little girl was found with multiple injuries in the home of 25-year old Bridgett White last November. White pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated murder and endangering children after police found heroin and cocaine in the system of four-year old Aaliyah Smith.
Prosecutors say the little girl had suffered several signs of abuse and neglect, including burns, bruises, malnourishment, and dehydration. White told detectives she blacked out from drug use and doesn’t know what happened. Two other adults are charged in the case. White will be sentenced in late July.
