Another week, another spectacular specialty jersey from the Toledo Mud Hens.
Monday afternoon, the Mud Hens announced online that they would be wearing jerseys that honor the USA Basketball team that played in the 1992 Summer Olympics. Nicknamed the "Dream Team", it was the first American Olympic team to feature active NBA players. With that allowance, they easily swept through the Summer Olympiad to win the gold medal, blowing out all but two teams by 40 points, and defeating Croatia in the gold medal game 117-85. It still stands as one of the greatest assembled sports teams of all time, featuring numerous all-stars in the prime of their careers.
The Hens will be wearing the red, white, and blue uniforms from June 30th to July 3rd, when they host the Columbus Clippers at Fifth Third Field.
