BOE Member to Take Oath of Office

(Toledo, OH) An Ottawa Hills lawyer is expected to take the oath of office sometime this week as the newest Republican member of the Lucas County board of elections.

The Ohio secretary of state made the appointment at the recommendation of the county GOP central committee. 64-year old David Karmol once served as a state representative.

He'll serve through the end of February 2019, replacing James Hartley who was removed from the elections board under suspicion of backroom deals with county GOP officials.
