(Toledo, OH) One of Toledo's most iconic gatherings kicks off the summer festival season.
The Old West End festival begins tonight with a beer garden in the aboretum at Robinwood and Delaware. But one of the most popular and strange features of the festival steps off Saturday at 10 a.m.-- the Mardi Gras-style King Wamba parade.
The festival features an art fair, plenty of yard sales, food and entertainment in front of the art museum's Glass Pavilion. There's a 5-K walk and run Sunday morning along with a historic home tour, which this year includes four iconic houses and the First Congregational Church on Collingwood Boulevard. The tour is $15 per person, $25 per couple.
