COLUMBUS, Ohio - Parents in Ohio will get a sales tax break this year when they go back to school shopping.
WTOL 11 reports the Ohio House of Representatives has passed a Senate bill to make the first weekend in August a sales tax holiday in the state.
The bill exempts school supplies, clothing and instructional materials from the state sales tax for the weekend. School supplies have a limit of $20, while clothing purchases will have a limit of $75.
