(Toledo, OH) The Lucas County OVI task force will be staffing checkpoints this Memorial Day weekend, looking for drunk and drugged drivers.
At least three OVI checkpoints will be set up Friday night between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., including 1125 Alexis Rd, 5801 Suder Ave, and 2753 Shoreland Rd. A fourth checkpoint location remains unannounced.
Grant funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is paying for the overtime and other costs incurred.
